We are pleased to confirm that all our French drum lampshades are handmade in accordance with British lighting industry standards. Our fabrics are bonded to materials specifically engineered for lampshade making. These make the lampshades fire retardant and compliant with BS EN 60598-1-2008, the British Standard for Luminaries.
For safety reasons we recommend the use of LED bulbs.

Fitting

Once you've chosen your preferred lampshade, please take your time to ensure you are selecting the correct fitting. The below guide will take you through the available options.

PENDANT
If you need a lampshade to hang from the ceiling, please select the pendant fitting.
The fitting is at the top of the lightshade, with an aperture of 29mm. The aperture can be increased to 40mm by removing the reducer ring supplied with the lampshade.
With a pendant fitting you may use B22 Bayonet Cap bulbs and E14 Edison Screw bulbs (reducer ring fitted), or E27 Edison Screw bulbs and E26 Edison Screw bulbs (reducer ring removed).

PENDANT
If you have a floor lamp with an arc as pictured, please select the pendant fitting.
The fitting is at the top of the lightshade, with an aperture of 29mm. The aperture can be increased to 40mm by removing the reducer ring supplied with the lampshade.
With a pendant fitting you may use B22 Bayonet Cap bulbs and E14 Edison Screw bulbs (reducer ring fitted), or E27 Edison Screw bulbs and E26 Edison Screw bulbs (reducer ring removed).

TABLE/FLOOR LAMP
If you have a table lamp or a standard floor lamp, please select the table/floor lamp fitting.
The fitting is at the bottom of the lampshade, with an aperture of 29mm. The aperture can be increased to 40mm by removing the reducer ring supplied with the lampshade.
With a table/floor lamp fitting you may use B22 Bayonet Cap bulbs and E14 Edison Screw bulbs (reducer ring fitted), or E27 Edison Screw bulbs and E26 Edison Screw bulbs (reducer ring removed).

USA HARP
Although this fitting is mostly used in the USA, it is becoming more popular in the UK as well.
The fitting is at the top of the lampshade, with an aperture of 10mm.
This is suitable suitable for table lamps or floor lamps which have a harp and a finial that screws into the lamp.

DELIVERY

At Adoro Décor we perfectly understand how important it is to have a stress free lampshade shopping experience, from start to delivery. For this reason we have developed various packaging techniques to ensure a safe transit of your lamp shade. All lamp shades are posted in double wall boxes and surrounded by tissue paper, which provides the necessary cushioning. In addition to this, we have partnered with reputable couriers that will take care of your parcel with great professionalism.

Lampshades are dispatched within 2 weeks.
Deliveries to the UK are free of charge and posted via Royal Mail, UPS or ParcelForce via a 2 working days service.
Postage to the USA is chargeable, orders are delivered either by USPS or UPS.

RETURNS

THIS LAMPSHADE IS PART OF THE LUXURY COLLECTION.

THIS LAMPSHADE IS NON REFUNDABLE AFTER 7 CALENDAR DAYS FROM PURCHASE.

Once you have placed an order for this beautiful shade, we will send you a sample. It’s extremely important for us to ensure that you are happy with the colours and patterns, but we understand that on screen they might look different than expected.
We want you to be happy when you receive this order and for this reason, following your purchase, you will quickly receive a fabric sample of the outer fabric and lining.
When you receive the sample, take your time to check the colours. If for any reason you feel that they don’t quite suit your decor, please contact us within 7 calendar days of your order. We can then assist you by changing the fabric/pattern or we can refund your order.
If we don’t hear from you during the 7 calendar days following the order, we will assume you’re happy to go ahead. Based on that, we will start work and print to order the required fabric for your lampshade. Due to the fabric being printed to order, the lampshade is non refundable once work starts.
Please note, the lampshade is still refundable within 7 calendar days from the day you placed the order. After 7 calendar days from your order, we will start work (unless otherwise advised by you) and therefore it will not be possible to refund.
By sending sending the samples after purchase, we wish to give you a premium experience and feel the excitement of a luxury light shade that will be handmade especially for you. However, if you wish to see a sample before placing any order, you are more than welcome to send us a samples request.
