Creating lampshades and making you feel excited about your purchase is a job we deeply enjoy. For this reason we take your trust very seriously and pay close attention to the quality of your lampshades.
Every single light shade is handmade to order by us in our Adoro Décor studio, based in the West Midlands. This allows us to take care of every single detail during production, starting from the selection of highly reputable British suppliers, up to hand making your lampshade to the highest professional standard.
Purchasing a lampshade handmade by Adoro Décor means shopping for a truly unique lighting accessory, which will exceed your expectations and bring joy to your home.
Safety
We are pleased to confirm that all our lampshades are handmade in accordance with British lighting industry standards. Our fabrics are bonded to materials specifically engineered for lampshade making. These make the lampshades fire retardant and compliant with BS EN 60598-1-2008, the British Standard for Luminaries.
For safety reasons we recommend the use of LED bulbs.
Fitting
Once you've chosen your preferred lampshade, please take your time to ensure you are selecting the correct fitting. The below guide will take you through the available options.
PENDANT
If you need a lampshade to hang from the ceiling, please select the pendant fitting.
The fitting is at the top of the lightshade, with an aperture of 29mm. The aperture can be increased to 40mm by removing the reducer ring supplied with the lampshade.
With a pendant fitting you may use B22 Bayonet Cap bulbs and E14 Edison Screw bulbs (reducer ring fitted), or E27 Edison Screw bulbs and E26 Edison Screw bulbs (reducer ring removed).
PENDANT
If you have a floor lamp with an arc as pictured, please select the pendant fitting.
The fitting is at the top of the lightshade, with an aperture of 29mm. The aperture can be increased to 40mm by removing the reducer ring supplied with the lampshade.

TABLE/FLOOR LAMP
If you have a table lamp or a standard floor lamp, please select the table/floor lamp fitting.
The fitting is at the bottom of the lampshade, with an aperture of 29mm. The aperture can be increased to 40mm by removing the reducer ring supplied with the lampshade.
With a table/floor lamp fitting you may use B22 Bayonet Cap bulbs and E14 Edison Screw bulbs (reducer ring fitted), or E27 Edison Screw bulbs and E26 Edison Screw bulbs (reducer ring removed).
USA HARP
(available upon request)
Although this fitting is mostly used in the USA, it is becoming more popular in the UK as well.
The fitting is at the top of the lampshade, with an aperture of 10mm.
This is suitable suitable for table lamps or floor lamps which have a harp and a finial that screws into the lamp.

At Adoro Décor we perfectly understand how important it is to have a stress free lampshade shopping experience, from start to delivery. For this reason we have developed various packaging techniques to ensure a safe transit of your lamp shade.
All lamp shades are posted in double wall boxes and surrounded by tissue paper, which provides the necessary cushioning. In addition to this, we have partnered with reputable couriers that will take care of your parcel with great professionalism.
Deliveries to the UK are free of charge and posted via Royal Mail, UPS or ParcelForce via a 1-2 working days service.
Deliveries to the USA are via FedEx and take 2-5 working days.
RETURNS
This is a custom lampshade, as such it is non refundable and non exchangeable.
